The land of Braj

Every place worth the detour

Braj is not one town. It is Mathura where Krishna was born, Gokul where he was hidden, Vrindavan where he grew up, Govardhan which he lifted, and Barsana and Nandgaon facing one another across the fields. Here is what each place is, and the practical things — steps, phones, crowds, closing hours — that decide whether a visit goes well.

Temple timings in Braj move with the season and change again on festival days. Treat the hours below as the usual pattern, not a promise — and call us on +91 99974 59020 the day before if a visit depends on one.
