What to know before you come

Most of what people search for before a Braj trip is practical: when the temple opens, whether the phone is allowed in, how long the parikrama takes, which day is going to be unbearable. We have put those answers on the pages they belong to rather than in a blog that says the same thing again. Here is where each one is.

The practical questions

Crowds, costs, dress, phones, how to reach Braj and what happens if something goes wrong at ten at night.

Temple by temple

Opening hours, how long to allow, and the thing about each place that catches people out. Timings in Braj move with the season — call us the day before if a visit depends on one.

Holi in Braj

Braj plays Holi for about forty days and the four that matter are Lathmar at Barsana, Nandgaon the morning after, Holika Dahan and then Rangwali. It is the biggest week of the year here and the hotels are full by January.

Ask us something that is not here

We answer the phone between 8 am and 9 pm, and we would rather talk than have you guess from a web page. There is no charge for asking and no obligation after.
