Vrinda Aura
Brass temple bells hanging from painted pillars, the Yamuna visible beyond

Mathura · Vrindavan · Gokul · Govardhan · Barsana

The land of Krishna, walked with people who live here.

We are a family in Gokul who arrange darshan, parikrama, stays, cars and puja across Braj. Tell us who is travelling and when, and we will plan the days around you — with a real price, not a runaround.

We reply within 15 minutes, 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Puja & seva

Yamuna chunri manorath and deepdan, mundan and the other sanskars, rudrabhishek at Chintaharan Mahadev, pitru paksha tarpan — twenty sevas, arranged with the tirth purohits, on the right day, without anyone being hurried at the ghat.

वृन्दावन

It is a working town, not a monument.

Cows in the lane, rickshaw bells, sweet shops frying at six in the morning, and a temple every hundred metres. Braj is lived in. We will tell you which lanes to walk at which hour, and which ones to leave alone on a Saturday in Kartik.

When to come

Braj runs on a calendar, not a season. The festivals are both the reason to come and the reason it is crowded — worth knowing before you pick dates.

October to March

The best months

Cool, clear, and the devotional year at its richest. Kartik — October into November — is the finest time to be in Braj, with Govardhan Puja and Yamuna Chhath. December and January bring cold mornings and pleasantly thin crowds.

17 to 22 March 2027

Holi — and the busiest week of the year

Lathmar Holi at Barsana and Nandgaon, flower Holi at Banke Bihari, then Rangwali Holi. Rooms roughly double and are committed by January. Worth doing, if you know what you are walking into.

August and September

Janmashtami and Radha Ashtami

Krishna's birth at the Janmasthan in Mathura, and Radha Ashtami at Barsana a fortnight later. Warm, humid and very full — but these are the nights Braj is most itself.

April to June

We would suggest another month

Forty degrees and above, with little shade on the parikrama marg. Hard on elders and on small children. If your dates cannot move we plan around it: temples at dawn, a long rest at midday, nothing walked in the afternoon.

Why people hand us their parents for three days

We tell you the awkward things

Banke Bihari at 6 pm on a Saturday in Kartik is overwhelming. The Govardhan parikrama is 21 km and not everyone should walk it. We would rather say so before you book than after.

A real price, quickly

One number, what it covers, what it does not. No slashed fake discounts, no “50% off” on a price nobody ever paid.

The same people, start to finish

You get the driver's name and number the day before. During the trip there is one number that is answered — ours.

Elders and children planned for

Wheelchair access where it exists, the parikrama by car, fewer stairs at Barsana, and rest built into the day rather than squeezed out of it.

Pure vegetarian, and Jain on request

Meals as per the itinerary, and we will tell the kitchen in advance if you need Jain, no-onion-garlic, or a regional preference.

We live in Gokul

Not a call centre in another city. If a hotel disappoints you at 10 pm, someone can be there.
