यमुना आरती एवं दीपदान सेवा
Yamuna Aarti & Deepdan Seva
The evening aarti performed in your family's name, and lamps set on the water afterwards.
Vishram Ghat, Mathura — or Keshi Ghat, Vrindavan · About 1 hour
The aarti is done at the ghat as the light goes, with the sankalp taken in your name, and then the deepdan: lamps in leaf bowls, lit and set out on the Yamuna until the water carries them away. In Kartik the whole ghat does this and the river is covered in them. It is the least complicated seva we arrange and, for a lot of families, the one they remember. Children can do it. Elders can sit through it. It takes an hour.
