The worship of the cow and the feeding of the herd — the simplest seva here, and the one children take to.

The cow is worshipped with tilak, flowers and a lamp, and then green grass is bought and fed to the herd by hand. It costs little, it takes under an hour, and it is the one seva where small children stop being bored. Many families do this alongside something larger.
